About the book

Rotating machines, such as motors, compressors, turbines, and generators, are some of the most widely used machines with the main utilizations of energy conversion, power generation, fluid transportation, and propulsion, etc. We can often see the beautiful scenery of many wind turbines rotating on the mountain, plains, and sea. At present, with the environmental degradation and energy crisis becoming more and more serious, the development and utilization of renewable clean energy have attracted widespread attention in the world. Therefore, the research on rotating machines has some new characteristics and development directions. Meanwhile, high precision CFD technology and advanced wind tunnel test technology are also widely used in rotating machines research.

In this book, we will focus on the recent research progress and development of rotating machines technology. The latest original research articles, as well as review articles on the theoretical analysis, numerical simulation, and experiment technology for the performance improvement and structural optimization of rotating machines, will be introduced.

Full chapters peer reviewed

Review results due: March 31st 2022

Full chapter manuscripts are screened for plagiarism and undergo a Main Editor Peer Review. Results are sent to authors within 30 days of submission, with suggestions for rounds of revisions.

Book compiled, published and promoted

Expected publication date: May 30th 2022

All chapters are copy-checked and typesetted before being published. IntechOpen regularly submits its books to major databases for evaluation and coverage, including the Clarivate Analytics Book Citation Index in the Web of ScienceTM Core Collection. Northeast Agricultural University

Dr. Yan Li is a Professor at College of Engineering of Northeast Agricultural University, China. He has 15 years of experience in research and teaching. His main research fields include energy engineering, agricultural engineering and mechanical engineering, etc. The current main research direction focuses on renewable energy, especially wind energy. As the author or coauthor, he has published more than 50 publications on the reesearches of Vertical Axis Wind Turbines and wind turbine icing. He teaches courses in introduction to new energy, fluid dynamics and wind energy engineering both for undergraduate and graduate students. He is a member of Chinese Society of Engineering Thermophysics, Chinese Aerodynamics Research Society, and Chinese Wind Energy Association.
