University of Castile-La Mancha

The contents of the book Operations Management will be written by multiple authors and edited by an expert(s) in the field... The chapters will introduce and demonstrate operations management theory to practice case studies. It will demonstrate key results for each sector with diverse real-world case studies. The theory will be accompanied by relevant analysis techniques, with a progressional approach building from simple theory to complex and dynamic decisions with multiple data points, including big data, lot of data, etc. Computational techniques, dynamic analysis, probabilistic methods, and mathematical optimization techniques will be expertly blended to support the analysis of operations management problems with defined constraints and requirements. The book will provide an interface between the main disciplines of engineering/technology and the organizational, administrative, and planning abilities of decision-making. It is complementary to other sub-disciplines such as economics, finance, marketing, decision and risk analysis, etc. The book will be focused on graduate students and professionals in industrial engineering, business administration, industrial organization, operations management, applied microeconomics, and the decisions sciences, either studying maintenance or who are required to solve large, specific, and complex maintenance management problems as part of their jobs. The work will also be of interest to researchers from academia.
