About the book
Leadership plays an important role in an organization’s life cycle. Leaders guide and shape the future of their organizations. They motivate, inspire and rally their organizational fellows and work together to achieve a common goal.
In a rapidly changing world due to the political, social, and technological changes, those wisdom and leadership practices that were effective in the past might not be the same in the future. In terms of generational change, the leadership positions are occupied mostly by baby boomers but their new colleagues are from X- and Y- generations who are motivated by different things, and their values are different from others. For example, Y- generations need more freedom, more fun and at the same time, they are individualist but connected with others as well as conscious about society and sustainability. Rapid technological advancements such as industry 4.0, big data, and artificial intelligence are changing the organizational agents' mode of work and relationships. Globalization, trade war, and new global economic order are also changing the business landscape and the need for up-to-date leadership skills and capabilities.
Organizations and individuals are more connected globally, and leadership quality needs to develop leadership skills in terms of collaboration, building and mending relationships, working across boundaries, change management, and participation management. We invite researchers to address the above-mentioned issues in a new context.
