Dr. Ricciardi graduated in Medicine and Surgery in 2013 and finished the residency in Neurosurgery in 2019. In 2017, he completed a fellowship in spinal deformities at the Catholic University of Rome - Italy, and in 2018 he completed a research fellowship at the Mayo Clinic, Jacksonville, Florida, US. He also completed the four-year training course of the European Association of Neurosurgical Societies and completed the European Board Exam part-1 for FEBNS. Dr. Ricciardi has authored more than 60 papers published in peer-reviewed international journals. He has been serving as a reviewer for more than 15 scientific journals. He has been awarded as Publons Academy Mentor for training in peer-review, and he has conducted more than 80 certified peer reviews by the date. ( ) In 2021, Dr. Ricciardi was invited as Guest Editor for Systematic Reviews and Meta-analyses on the Journal of Neurosurgical Sciences, and as Invited Editor on Frontiers in Neurology for launching a dedicated issue and a call for paper in neuro-oncology. In 2021, Dr. Ricciardi has been nominated co-Chairman and President of the Scientific Committee at SPINE20, the World Congress on Spine Disorders at the G20 conference in Rome, Italy.
