Dr. Lofrese is a neurosurgeon specialized in cranio-cervical junction diseases and minimally invasive spine surgery. As a former resident of the Catholic University in Rome, he completed his training in Milan, Bologna, and New York, concluding it in Curitiba with an AOSpine clinical fellowship. He is currently a permanent neurosurgeon at the Bufalini Hospital in Cesena, and a consultant neurosurgeon at the State Hospital of the Republic of San Marino. He was awarded with the European Young Researcher Award (AOSpine) and the Young Neurosurgeon Award (WFNS). Dr. Lofrese is in his final year as a PhD student in Neuroscience and Neurotechnologies at the University of Ferrara, developing new applications software addressed to patients with spinal cord injury.
