Dr. Miljana Jovandaric was born in Serbia in 1963. She graduated from the Faculty of Medicine - University of Belgrade. Dr. Jovandaric completed Specialist Examination in Pediatrics at the University Children's Hospital, Belgrade. Her narrow specialization in neonatology work is "Comparative Analysis of Newborns of Mothers Suffering from Gestational Diabetes and Pregestational Mellitus". She completed her MSc in neonatology ("Analysis of Lipid Infants of Women Suffering from Gestational Diabetes Mellitus (GDM)"), and defended her doctoral dissertation ("Effect of Hypoxia on Electrolyte and Lipid Levels in Term Newborns"), at the School of Medicine, University of Belgrade, Serbia. Dr. Jovandaric authored and co-authored 74 scientific papers, which were presented at both national and international conferences, and in journals. Currently, she is Head of the Department of Newborns, Clinic of Gynecology and Obstetrics, Department of Neonatology, Clinical Center of Serbia, Belgrade. Dr. Jovandaric acts as a member of numerous editorial boards and as a reviewer for a large number of journals. Her research interest include neonatology, metabolism, and perinatology.
