Ramón Silva-Ortigoza

Ramón Silva-Ortigoza received a B.S. degree in electronics from Universidad Autónoma de Puebla, Puebla, Pue, Mexico (1999), and both M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering (Mechatronics) from CINVESTAV-IPN, Mexico City, Mexico (in 2002 and 2006, respectively). He serves as a Titular Researcher at CIDETEC-IPN since 2006, and he belongs to SNI, Mexico. He and H. Sira-Ramirez coauthored the book “Control Design Techniques in Power Electronics Devices” (Springer-Verlag, London, 2006). Also, he was an Editor for the book “Mechatronics” (Colección CIDETEC-IPN, Mexico, 2010). Moreover, he has recently coauthored the book “Control Automático: Teoría de diseño, construcción de prototipos, modelado, identificación y pruebas experimentales” (Colección CIDETEC-IPN, Mexico, 2013). Silva-Ortigoza has published more than twenty-five papers in credited journals. His research interests include control of mechatronic systems, control of mobile robots, control in power electronics, and geometric optics.
