Miloš Drdácký currently serves as Head of the Department of Heritage Science in the Institute of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics of the CAS. Miloš does research in the field of testing and conservation of historic materials, structures, and sites. There are several current projects in the Department, for example, the "ProteCHt2save" project on resilience of cultural heritage after disaster events; the "RUINS" project on safe exploitation of historic objects for tourism; "E-RIHS PP" on building new European research infrastructure for Heritage Science. Current research interests include NDT of historic materials (timber, stone, masonry), climate change impact on cultural heritage, damage and failure analysis and forensic engineering, protection of CH against natural and man-made disasters,
