Sérgio Lousada

University of Madeira

Sérgio António Neves Lousada has an international Ph.D. in Civil Engineering (Hydraulics). He teaches Hydraulics, Environment, and Water Resources and Construction at the University of Madeira, Portugal. He has published articles and books and participated in events mainly in the areas of hydraulics, urban planning, and land management. Furthermore, he collaborates with the Environmental Resources Analysis Research Group (ARAM), University of Extremadura (UEx); VALORIZA - Research Center for the Enhancement of Endogenous Resources, Polytechnic Institute of Portalegre (IPP), Portugal; CITUR - Madeira - Centre for Tourism Research, Development and Innovation, Madeira, Portugal; and Institute of Research on Territorial Governance and Inter-Organizational Cooperation, Dąbrowa Górnicza, Poland. Moreover, he holds an International master\'s degree in Ports and Coasts Engineering.

Underwater work is work done underwater, generally by divers during diving operations. It also includes work done underwater by remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) and manned submersibles.
