Dr. chem. eng. Amalia Stefaniu has a background in chemical engineering, acquiring her Bachelor’s degree at University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest, Faculty of Chemical Engineering (in French). She completed her studies with Postgraduate Academic Advanced Studies, Drugs and Cosmetics specialization and with a masters degree in Biotechnologies and food safety at University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine Bucharest, Faculty of Biotechnologies. She obtained her Ph.D. degree in Exact Sciences - Chemistry (2011) at University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest, Romania, Faculty of Applied Chemistry and Materials Science, Department of Inorganic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry and Electrochemistry. Her current position is Senior research scientist at National Institute for Chemical-Pharmaceutical Research and Development, Bucharest, Laboratory of molecular design and molecular docking. Her recent research is focused on properties prediction, mathematical modeling, molecular docking and design of therapeutic compounds.
