I have 25 years’ experience in clinical medicine and Livestock extension. I am, teaching undergraduate, postgraduate and diploma course in University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences. My research work is on Tick borne infections. During post doc period in Medical and Biological Sciences, at University of Minnesota I studied Lyme Borrelliosis in elk, moose and wolf. I was assigned responsibility of Chairperson, Department of Clinical Medicine and Surgery. I developed Clinical Medicine laboratory and initiated UVAS 24/7 Extension service. I also served as Director, Office of research innovation and Commercialization (ORIC) and Director Continuing Education and Extension in university. I also worked as Field Officers Training Manager, Vocational and Rural Women in Federal Govt .Project of Pakistan Dairy Development Project on deputation from UVAS for one year. I am affiliated with many organizations in veterinary and animal sciences at national and international level. I am member of steering committee WWF.I have developed extension material for CELDAC project Nestle Pakistan and hand books for field work with farming community. Won Star Laureate Award on Women in Science and Technology,2008.I have won HEC grants on Epidemiology of Theileriosis in Bovine.(completed) .Bacterial, Viral and Parasitic Causes of Foal Diarrhea .(In progress, NRPU, HEC),Civic Engagement Project (extension Project).(In progress, Funded by USA) and One project \\under review in HEC and one project in PARB. I am also running project funded by HEC on Awareness of water borne diseases and provision of safe drinking water to rural community in Pattoki , Punjab Pakistan. I am supervising 5 PhD students and 6 M.Phil students currently. I had supervised 3 PhD and 20 Mphil students as major supervisor. My student research is mostly on disease and epidemiology aspect of livestock and wildlife diseases .I have plans to work on nosocomial diseases and antibiotic resistance in domestic animals.
