Breno Barros
Breno Barros graduated as B.Sc. in Biological Sciences, from the Federal University of Pará (Universidade Federal do Pará, Brazil) in 2002. He has entered the Hiroshima University (Japan) in 2005, where he has achieved his M.Sc. degree in Marine Ecology at the Laboratory of Aquatic Resources (2007). In 2012, he has concluded his Ph.D. in Environmental Biology at the Institute of Coastal Studies (IECOS), Federal University of Pará, Brazil, with a brief sandwich period in the Laboratory of Aquatic Resources, Hiroshima University, Japan. Dr. Barros has been studying teleost fish feeding behavior, focusing on the Family Ephippidae, establishing comparative studies on behavioral ecology of Ephippid fish from both Pacific and Atlantic oceans, having published a number of papers dealing with feeding behavior and mimetic behavior by representants of that group. Currently, he is working as adjunct professor at the Federal Rural University of Amazonia, Brazil; being also a collaborator professor at the Institute of Coastal Studies (IECOS), Federal University of Pará, Brazil.
