About the book

In the last few years, as human in vitro fertilization (IVF) technology application and innovation, many new theories and technologies have been formed, which greatly improve the opportunity for infertile couples to make babies. The book titled "Embryology Update" will collect the current newest papers in the embryology field including oocytegenesis, embryogenesis including follicular and oocyte culture and in vitro culture and maturation, insemination technologies, such as specific sperm treatment for good sperm selection, cytoplasmic sperm injection, embryo development, and transfer and embryo cryopreservation, especially in human in vitro fertilization (IVF) practice to explore the mechanism of blastocyst formation and implantation. It also focuses on innovation in the field of reproductive medicine, such as the application of artificial intelligence technologies and time-lapse to eugenic embryo selection, PGT technology application, PGT from the culture medium, embryonic retrofit, and improvement, cytoplasm transfer, gene editing.

This book will try to add some new knowledge for embryologists, IVF physicians, and other scientists to improve their application of Assisted Reproductive Technology.

Introducing your Author Service Manager

Ms. Nera Butigan

As an Author Service Manager, my responsibilities include monitoring and facilitating all publishing activities for authors and editors. From chapter submission and review to approval and revision, copyediting and design, until final publication, I work closely with authors and editors to ensure a simple and easy publishing process. I maintain constant and effective communication with authors, editors, and reviewers, which allows for a level of personal support that enables contributors to fully commit and concentrate on the chapters they are writing, editing or reviewing. I assist authors in preparing their full chapter submissions and track important deadlines to ensure they are met. I help to coordinate internal processes such as linguistic review and monitor the technical aspects of the process. As an ASM I am also involved in the acquisition of editors. Whether that be identifying an exceptional author and proposing an editorship collaboration, or contacting researchers who would like the opportunity to work with IntechOpen, I establish and help manage author and editor acquisition and contact.
