About the book

A numerical simulation is a computing implementation following a program that develops a mathematical model for a physical system. The numerical simulations are required to analyze and study the behavior of systems whose mathematical models are very complex for the provider of analytical solutions, as in the case of the nonlinear systems. Likewise, the numerical simulation is a branch of the numerical analysis studied in approximation theory inside the functional analysis. Here has great importance the different methods used in the numerical simulations as the adaptive and stochastic methods as well as the finite element analysis research developed in the last years for the implementation and improvement of an approximation of nature models studied in physics, biology, chemistry, and engineering process. Applications of numerical simulations in demography, dynamical economics, and any other social behavior also are added. In this point, recovers great importance the 2-D and 3-D models used to enclose and capture the essence of a concept in terms of a graphic image of a process, which has a mathematical model as a differential, integral or functional equation, which runs on a numerical calculation through a computer program.

Likewise, developments in simulation environments for physics and engineering to prototype analysis through the virtual prototype analysis is a work that optimizes and develops inaccurate bases the engineering work and creation of new technology, minimizing and improving the cost of real prototypes development. In the predictability of phenomena such as atmospheric phenomena, the work on forecasting and fluid models result necessaries. Also in dynamical systems with big complexity such as the interstellar trips and sidereal exploration have big utility inside dynamics aerospatial simulation, which can establish and plan a whole trip helping to the aero-spatial engineering for program the flying computer and control instruments in the optimization of fuel, homework programming in the space and behavior of the interstellar spaceship. The numerical simulation tries the improvement, creation, and implementation of new technologies being a technological product of mathematics for all human endeavors.

Introducing your Author Service Manager

As an Author Service Manager my responsibilities include monitoring and facilitating all publishing activities for authors and editors. From chapter submission and review, to approval and revision, copyediting and design, until final publication, I work closely with authors and editors to ensure a simple and easy publishing process. I maintain constant and effective communication with authors, editors and reviewers, which allows for a level of personal support that enables contributors to fully commit and concentrate on the chapters they are writing, editing, or reviewing. I assist authors in the preparation of their full chapter submissions and track important deadlines and ensure they are met. I help to coordinate internal processes such as linguistic review, and monitor the technical aspects of the process. As an ASM I am also involved in the acquisition of editors. Whether that be identifying an exceptional author and proposing an editorship collaboration, or contacting researchers who would like the opportunity to work with IntechOpen, I establish and help manage author and editor acquisition and contact.
