Jorge Ernesto Mariath
I have undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (1975), master's degree in botany from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (1980) and Ph.D. in Biological Sciences (Botany), University of Sao Paulo (1990). I was, for 8 years, Director of the Biosciences Institute and Professor of Botany at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul. I do technical advisory to Scientific and Technological Research of the State of SC, the Research Support Foundation of the State of Amazonas, Bahia, Espírito Santo and Rio Grande do Sul , CAPES, and National Council of Scientific and Technological Development - CNPq. My experience is in the area of Botany - Plant Morphology -, with emphasis on Plant Anatomy and Embryology, acting on the following topics: Rubiaceae, Aquifoliaceae, Leguminosae, Bromeliaceae, Passifloraceae, and Cyperaceae, with more than 70 published articles.
