Catarina Silva
Graduated in Materials Engineering by the Faculty of Sciences and Technology from the New University of Lisbon in 2003, Portugal. In 2007, she received the Master of Science in Optoelectronics and Lasers by Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto, Portugal. She is currently working in the Physic Department (Laboratory of Optics, Lasers and Systems) of the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon, as a researcher in the fields of material processing by laser and modelling of the physical processes. Her current research interests include optical fiber systems, synthesis and characterization of nanostructured materials and their application as photonic devices.
