Radovan Kovacevic
Dr. Radovan Kovacevic is a Herman Brown Chair in Engineering and a Professor of the Mechanical Engineering at Southern Methodist University (SMU), Dallas, TX. He is the Director of the Research Center for Advanced Manufacturing and the NSF Industry/University Cooperative Research Center for Lasers and Plasmas (SMU’s site). Dr. Kovacevic is a Fellow of the American Welding Society (AWS), the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), and the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME). He is a recipient of the 1997 Adams Memorial Award (AWS), the 2000 Taylor Research Medal (SME), the Fulbright Foundation Scholarship (USA), Alexander von Humboldt Scholarship (Germany), and Carl Duisberg Scholarship (Germany). He worked with over 180 visiting Professors, visiting scholars, graduate students, and undergraduate interns.
