Marco Infante serves as an Adjunct Professor of Endocrinology and Adjunct Professor of Applied Nutrition in Internal Medicine at Saint Camillus International University of Health Sciences (Rome, Italy). He serves as Research Scholar at the Diabetes Research Institute (DRI), University of Miami Miller School of Medicine (USA). He received the designation as a Fellow of the American College of Nutrition (FACN) by virtue of his research activity in the field of 'Immunomodulatory Nutrition”. He is a member of several international scientific organizations, including the Diabetes Research Institute Federation. Dr. Infante also serves as the Academic Editor of the Journal of Diabetes Research. He authored numerous publications in international peer-reviewed journals and gave lectures at international diabetes meetings.

Over the last decades, the growing prevalence of insulin resistance has dramatically contributed to the global epidemic of metabolic syndrome, obesity, type 2 diabetes mellitus, and cardiovascular disease.
