Engr. O. M. Egbuhuzor is a lecturer II with the Department of Materials & Metallurgical Engineering (MME) and on parallel appointment with the Department of Biomedical Engineering (BME), University of Nigeria. He holds an M.Sc in Polymer Engineering and a B.Eng in Polymer & Textile Engineering from Federal University of Technology Owerri, Imo State. Currently, he is a Ph.D. student on the Sustainable Energy Materials Engineering options at the African Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Power and Energy Development, University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN). Engr. Onyekachi Egbuhuzor teaches Engineering Materials, Polymer Engineering, Composite Materials & Engineering, Ceramics, and Smart/Sensitive Materials at the undergraduate level at UNN. He is also engaged in academic project supervision and mentoring. He likes reading, writing, and researching new things. This young academic’s research interests cut across biomedical materials, sustainable energy materials, and sensitive/intelligent polymers. Engr. Onyekachi Egbuhuzor has authored/co-authored some scholarly publications in top engineering journals, attended and presented papers at conferences, and is a reviewer with the Nigerian Journal of Technology (NIJOTECH). He holds a corporate membership of the following professional bodies: Nigerian Association of Technologists in Engineering (NATE), Institute of Polymer Engineers (IPE), Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Society of Plastic Engineers (SPE), Nigerian Institute of Management and a registered engineer with Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria. Through research collaboration, he was instrumental in designing and constructing 4-in-1 automatic water, soap, and sanitizer dispenser with a temperature gauge during this covid-19 period.
