Dr. Chen Yang is a Professor and Assistant Dean at the College of Chemical Engineering, Fuzhou University, China. He received his PhD in 2012 from University of Shizuoka, Japan, under the guidance of Prof. A. Nakayama. From 2012 to 2014, he worked as a postdoc in INPT, France. He joined the faculty of Fuzhou University as an Associated Professor in 2014 and was promoted to Professor in 2016. His research activity covers various areas, such as transport theory in porous media, chemical process intensification, heat and mass transfer of nanofluids. He published more than 30 journal papers in various journals, including AIChE J., Chem. Eng. Sci., Int. J. Heat Mass Transf., ASME Transactions-J. Heat Transf., TiPM, and others. Due to the achievement of implementing multi-scale strategy to optimize porous catalyst layer in catalytic distillation process, he received numerous awards including first prize for S&T Progress Award (2016, China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Association), and first prize for S&T Progress Award (2018, People’s Government of Fujian Province).
