Catalin Alexandru

Transylvania University of Brașov Romania

Cătălin Alexandru is a professor at the Transilvania University of Braşov (Romania), within the Faculty of Product Design and Environment. His teaching and research activity centers mainly on the modeling, simulation and optimization of mechanical and mechatronic systems. Prof. Alexandru is a PhD supervisor in Mechanical Engineering, and he is currently the director of the University Doctoral Council. He is also the coordinator of the Virtual Prototyping Laboratory at the Design of Mechanical Elements and Systems Research Center. He has published more than 300 scientific papers in mainstream journals, books chapters, and conference proceedings. He served as reviewer for dozens of ISI/WOS-rated journals. Prof. Alexandru is a member in national and international organizations that promote research in the field of product design.
