Ángel De La Cruz Pech-Canul

Dr. Pech-Canul is a Research Professor commissioned by the Mexican National Council for Sciences and Technology (CONACyT) at the Autonomous University of Chihuahua. He is currently supported by the “Cátedras CONACyT para Jovenes Investigadores” programme for the identification of microorganisms with exploitable potential for industrial processes. Dr. Pech-Canul is a PhD in Biochemical Sciences and a BSc in Biochemical Engineering. He held a Postdoctoral position at The University of Nottingham, where he gained experience in genetics and microbial biotechnology aspects for the production of metabolites of industrial interest from industrial wastes. He has also worked in academy and food microbiology research for the fishery industry from Yucatan. He has an extensive experience in genetics; bacterial physiology; microbial fermentation; analytics (HPLC, GC-MS, etc.); modern genetic tools; among others.
