Prof. Huijin Xu is professor at Shanghai Maritime University. He graduated from Xi'an Jiaotong University. He has a good record in doing research on porous media, shipping carbon capture, ocean new energy, and seawater desalination and educating undergraduates and postgraduates with approved achievements. He acts as the co-organizer for Interpore conferences (Interpore 2019, Interpore 2020, Interpore 2021, Interpore 2022, and Interpore 2023). He is the associate editor of STRPM and JPM in BegellHouse.

There are liquid foams and solid foams, both of which have distinct properties useful for various applications. This book reviews, researches, and summarizes the potential uses of foam fluids and porous foams in engineering, medicine, and other industries.
