Pachiappan Arjunan
Dr. Pachiappan Arjunan is an assistant professor in the Department of Periodontics at the Dental College of Georgia, Augusta University (formerly Georgia Regents University). Dr. Arjunan earned his PhD degree from the National University of Singapore (NUS) and completed a postdoctoral training from the National Eye Institute, NIH. Dr. Arjunan leads his group of postdoctoral fellows, dental graduates, and predoctoral students at the Periodontal Molecular Immunology Laboratory in AU. Dr. Arjunan is actively involved in teaching dental predoctoral students at the Dental College of Georgia. He has received best teacher trainee award, research fellowship awards, and travel grant awards and has participated as a session chair (IADR/AADR), as a judge, as well as a session moderator in different scientific meetings. He is an active member in the departmental, college, and university committees. Dr. Arjunan, an expert in genomics and bioinformatics, has presented his scientific invention in both national and international conferences as an invited speaker. He has published more than 20 papers in reputed journals and book chapters as well. He contributes as an editor in InTechOpen, as one of the honorable consulting editors of Eye and Brain journal, and as an editorial board member of EC Ophthalmology, Open Access Journal of Dental Sciences, POJ Dental and Oral Care, and SciFed Journal of Ocular Biology. In addition, he serves as an external grant reviewer, a permanent reviewer of JoVE, and a reviewer for more than 15 renowned journals.
