Kamrun Nahar

Dr. Kamrun Nahar is a Professor of Agricultural Botany at Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka, Bangladesh. She received her Ph.D. in the environmental stress physiology of plants from the United Graduate School of Agricultural Sciences, Ehime University, Japan, with a Japanese government (MEXT) scholarship. Dr. Nahar has been involved in research with field crops, with a focus on stress physiology, since 2006. Several of her research work and continuing research projects have been funded by the Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University Research System and the Ministry of Science and Technology, Bangladesh. Dr. Nahar has published over 100 articles and chapters on plant physiology and environmental stresses. Her publications have achieved over 12000 citations with an h-index of 58 (according to Google Scholar). She is involved in editorial activities and is a reviewer of international journals. She is an active member of about 20 professional societies. Dr. Nahar has presented 20 papers and posters at national and international conferences. She is an Associate Fellow of the Bangladesh Academy of Sciences.
