Zuzana Storchova
Zuzana Storchova received her Ph.D. in Molecular Genetics at the Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic. She than continued working on mechanisms of DNA repair at the University of Zurich, Switzerland, in the laboratory of Prof. J. Jiricny. Her postdoctoral work in the laboratory of Prof. D. Pellman at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute/Harvard Medical School in Boston, USA, focused on the consequences of polyploidy in budding yeast. Zuzana Storchova joined the Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry in Martinsried, Germany, in 2008. There she established a research group with the main focus on uncovering the causes and consequences of polyploidy and aneuploidy in yeast and human cells.
