4,000 thank yous from IntechOpen

Recently we celebrated a huge milestone; the publication of the 4,000th IntechOpen Open Access book, Advances in the Molecular Understanding of Colorectal Cancer. Our celebrations reminded us just how far we have come since the company began publishing in 2005 and just how much we owe to the authors and editors whose hard work over the years has contributed to so many high quality Open Access publications.
IntechOpen was built by scientists, for scientists. We believe in Open Access, which means the equal right to access information wherever our readers are. We care about the advance of science, want to level the playing field for the publication of research around the world and make it available for all. While we celebrate and look over the successes of the last 15 years, we are also considering future plans and initiatives. We want to ensure the publishing experience is a positive one for our authors, and that you receive the best possible services. Above all, our aim is that the Open Access books we publish are widely read, used and cited.
So for now, please join us as we say 4,000 thank yous to the authors and editors who have contributed so far and helped us to achieve our ambition of democratising academic research and making it available to anyone who wants to read it.
