About the book
The prevalence of ICT worldwide and the increased level of users’ awareness in ICT as well, have forced software engineers to identify security and privacy as fundamental design aspects leading to the implementation of more trusted software systems and services. Thus, the inability of the existing privacy and security systems within modern environments such as IoT, IoE, Cloud Computing, Big Data, Cyber-Physical Systems to provide an adequate privacy and security framework associated with users’ social, legal and technological boundaries, under a multidisciplinary approach, has been highlighted. Therefore, new privacy and security mechanisms and techniques should be deployed to achieve an assurance level acceptable for these domains. In this regard, this book highlights and addresses the necessity and the importance of implementing design methods for security and privacy requirements elicitation, modeling and implementation taking into consideration legal, social and technical aspects, offering a “forum” for academics and researchers to present recent advances in these research areas.
