Muhammad Salik Javaid
Dr. Muhammad Salik Javaid has been working on academics, research, development, execution, management, and policy formulation assignments with the Pakistan Army Corps of Engineers and engineering universities in Pakistan and abroad for the past four decades. He has worked as Chief Consulting Engineer in the organization of Engineer-in-Chief, Director General Planning for Earthquake Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Authority, Pakistan, and a disaster risk reduction consultant with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). He is a graduate of Georgia Tech, Atlanta, the USA where he undertook his graduate and postgraduate studies in Dam Overtopping and Ocean Bed Hydrodynamics. He has published various research papers, and edited six books on water resources. He has conducted various courses for civil engineering students at universities in Pakistan. During his last engagement, Dr. Javaid taught Fluid Mechanics and Hydraulic Engineering at Morgan State University, Baltimore, USA.
