I hold a doctoral degree in Cell Biology from the School of Biological and Conservation Sciences at the Howard College campus of the University of KwaZulu-Natal in Durban. I have postgraduate and/or postdoctoral research experience in the fields of Cell Biology - Biochemistry and Cytology, Epidemiology, Molecular Biology, Pharmacology and Structural Biology in the areas of Plant/Seed Science(s)/Temperature and Water Stress Sensitivity/Toelrance and Medical Sciences - Cancer/Oncology, Immunology, Malaria, Cardiology/Arrythmogenic Right Ventricle Cardiomyopathy/Dysplasia, Tubersulosis and Acquired Immunity Deficiency Syndrome/Human Immunodefeciency Virus from the aforementioned school, the Department of Molecular and Cell Biology at the University of Cape Town, the School of Molecular and Cell Biology at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, the Seed Science Section at the Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden in Menglun, Mengla, Yunnan in the People\'s Republic of China, the Indigenous Knowledge Systems (Health) Lead Programme of the Medical Research Council in Cape Town and StructuralBiology Group, Biosciences Unit, Council for Scientific and Industrial Researxch in Pretoria. I also have teaching experience as a lecturer in the Department of Nature Conservation at Mangosuthu University of Technology in Durban.
