Dominique De Caro
Dominique de Caro is a professor at Paul Sabatier University and at the Coordination Chemistry Laboratory (LCC-CNRS) in Toulouse, France. D. de Caro began working on the synthesis and optical properties of metal nanoparticles for his doctoral research. In 1996 he was a postdoctoral fellow at the Max-Planck Institut für Kohlenforschung in Mülheim an der Ruhr (Germany), where he studied the adsorption of gases on metal nanoparticles by infrared spectroscopy. His current research area concerns the preparation of thin films, nanowires and nanoparticles of molecule-based conductors and magnets. He has strong interest in their characterization by infrared, Raman, X-ray diffraction, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, and electron microscopy. He also studies their physical properties, such as conductivity and dielectric measurements. Prof. de Caro authored or co-authored 65 papers.
