Zdenek Pelikan
Dr. Z. Pelikan, MD, PhD, allergologist, graduated from the Medical School MU (Brno) in 1961 (MD, PhD). He accomplished the training and certified qualification in the internal medicine, ophthalmology, clinical immunology and allergology. In 1996 he finished the second Thesis (PhD) at the Free University in Amsterdam. In 1975 he has, together with his spouse Dr. Marta Filipek, pediatrician, founded the Department of Allergology and Immunology (CAI/DAI) of the Institute of Medical Sciences “De Klokkenberg “ (Breda, The Netherlands). In 1976 he became a Director of the CAI/DAI. In 1996 he has been nominated an associated professor in the Clinical Immunology of the Masaryk’s University (Brno, Czech Republic). His current affiliation is Director of the Allergy Research Foundation (ARF) in Breda (The Netherlands). He is the author of more than 300 scientific publications. He is a member/fellow of 23 national and international medical, allergology, immunology and scientific societies, a.o. EAACI, AAAAI, ACAAI.
