Mohamed Nageeb Rashed

Mohamed Nageeb Rashed is a professor of analytical and environmental chemistry, previous vice-dean for environmental affairs, Faculty of Science, Aswan University, Egypt. In 1989 he received his Ph.D. in environmental analytical chemistry from Assiut University, Egypt. His research interest focuses on analytical and environmental chemistry with special emphasis on monitoring and assessment of biological trace elements and toxic metals; environmental chemistry of lakes, rivers, and wells water; water and wastewater treatment by adsorption and photocatalysis techniques; advanced oxidation treatment; nanocatalyst, and nanocomposite. Prof. Rashed supervised several M.Sc. and Ph.D. thesis in the field of analytical and environmental chemistry. He was selected as an examiner for several Ph.D. theses in analytical chemistry from India, Kazakhstan, and Botswana. Prof. Rashed published about 90 scientific papers in peer-reviewed international journals and several conference proceedings in national and international conferences. He participated as an invited speaker in 30 international conferences worldwide. Prof. Rashed acts as editor-in-chief and editorial board member in several international journals related to chemistry and the environment. His society membership includes several national and international societies. He was awarded the Egyptian Sta Award for Environmental Researches in 2001, and Aswan University Merit Award for Basic Science in 2020.
