Zaid Al-Aubaidi

Dr. Zaid Al-Aubaidi was born in Iraq 1969, but is now a Danish citizen. He graduated from Baghdad University in 1993, where he practiced to 1998. Then he traveled to Denmark, and practiced since then. Dr. Al-Aubaidi finished his residency program in 2007 and had one year fellowship in paediatric orthopedics. Since 2009, he has been working at the Odense university hospital as a consultant orthopaedic surgeon and at the same time enjoying an academic position at the University of Southern Denmark. His special interest is; traumatology, deformity correction and paediatric spine. Regarding overseas activities, Dr. Al-Aubaidi have been in Africa 3 times, Switzerland, Germany, China and Canada. During his research career he has 15 published papers.

Orthopaedic surgery is the widest and the strongest growing surgical specialty. It is clear, that the process of improving treatments and patients care, requires knowledge, and this requires access to studies, expert opinion and books. Unfortunately, the access to this knowledge is being materialized. As we believe that access to the medical knowledge should be reachable to everyone free of charge, this book was generated to cover the orthopaedic aspect. It will provide the reader with a mix of basic, but as well highly specialized knowledge. In the process of editing this book, my wife Jurgita has been, as usual, the most supportive person. I would like to thank her for being in my life.
