PhD in Silviculture and Forest Conservation (2019, University of Eldoret in Kenya); MSc in Forest biology and silviculture (2000) and BSc Forestry (2nd Class Honours, Upper Division) (1988) both from Moi University, Kenya. Lecturer and Acting Dean of School of Natural Resource and Environmental Management, University of Kabianga (Kenya) [Aug. 2012- Jan. 2021). Dean of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources (Feb. 2021-to date). Teaching and supervising students in forest ecology, forest biometrics, forest mensuration, Quantitative methods in agroforestry, Dryland agroforestry, Multipurpose trees in agroforestry, Range management, silviculture, forest inventory. I am passionate about research in forestry and agroforestry to enhance sustainable natural resource utilization and management as well as conservation of nature and its biodiversity. I did ecological research in different ecosystems in Kenya and have so far published in many journals eg. Forest Ecology and Management, African Journal of Ecology. I presented papers to many scientific conferences. I consulted for African Wildlife Foundation, National Environment Management Authority in Kenya, International Gorilla Conservation Programme, Lake Victoria Environmental Management Programme in Kenya. I m a member of a number of research groups, and of the Forestry Society of Kenya.
