Fanny is currently a Secondary School Teacher in Geography(Physical & Human), Consumer Studies/Hospitality, Clothing & Textiles, Tourism and Life Skills/Life Orientation at Stella Maris Secondary School a Government School in Blantyre, Malawi.She has served for several years in Government Secondary Schools before as a Secondary School Teacher, Teaching Geography(Physical & Human), Home economics(Consumer Studies/Hospitality), Clothing & Textiles, Tourism, Religious Studies, Life Skills Education and Social & Development Studies,Previously she has also served in her capacities as a Gender and HIV/AIDs Analyst for the United Nations Development Programmes. Inclusive are her professional positions with the Opportunity International Bank of Malawi as a Learning and Development Officer and a Transformation and Marketing Officer respectively.Fanny holds a Master of Education in Education Policy, Planning & Leadership and a Bachelor of Education in Humanities from the University of Malawi, Chancellor College; A Masters Degree in Education specialising in Initial Teacher Education Programmes or Pre-Services Programme from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology – Centre for International Teacher EducationCurrently, she is a PhD Candidate (2nd Year) for the Cape Peninsula University of Technology in the Faculty of Education and Social sciences.Fanny would like to specialize fully in the Education Sector focusing on pressing issues in Education( her research interests include initial teacher education, equality, education planning and financing, education policy, education leadership and management, education programme design, education monitoring and evaluation).
