Masanori Kawasaki

Dr. Masanori Kawasaki is an Associate Professor of Department of Cardiology, Gifu University Graduate School of Medicine. He received his MD and PhD from Gifu University Graduate School of Medicine. He developed a unique technique for tissue characterization of coronary plaques as an integrated backscatter intravascular ultrasound (IB-IVUS). After completing clinical training in cardiology in Japan, he conducted research on optical coherence tomography in Wellman Laboratory of Photomedicine, Harvard Medical School as a Research Fellow. After coming back to Japan, he has conducted many researches on cardiovascular imagings.
