Técia Maria de Oliveira Maranhão
Prof. Técia Maranhão is a retired professor in the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department of the Science Health Center of the Federal University of the Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN). She obtained her Ph.D. in Obstetrics and Gynecology from the Faculty of Medicine of Ribeirão Preto, University of São Paulo in 1982. She is a member of the National Commission of Endocrine Gynecology of the Brazilian Federation of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is on the Editorial Board of the RBGO. She lectures at various national and international conferences and is on the teaching staff of the Professional Master\'s Degree in Health Education. She works in the area of reproductive health and endocrine gynecology, and is currently researching polycystic ovary syndrome, insulin resistance and metabolic syndrome, and changes in female physical performance in hyperandrogenism.
