Guan-Yu Zhuo
Guan-Yu Zhuo is an associate professor at the Institute of New Drug Development, China Medical University, Taiwan. He received the B.S. and M.S. in Physics from National Chung Cheng University, Taiwan, in 2005 and 2007, respectively. He obtained his Ph.D. in physics from National Taiwan University in 2012. Dr. Zhuo's research directions mainly focus on the development of advanced optical imaging techniques for applications in biophotonics. In the long run, he hopes to translate these imaging techniques to hospitals and further provide new diagnostic and therapeutic techniques in terms of endoscopes and noninvasive treatment of collagenous tissues with short-pulse lasers. His studies are demonstrated and tested in a clinical setting, solving the current difficulties shown in diagnosis and therapy.
