Peter Yao Lartey

Dr. Peter Yao Lartey is a Research Associate with the Niagara Community Observatory (NCO) at Brock University in Canada. He received his PhD from the School of Finance and Economics at Jiangsu University, China, in 2020 with a thesis titled ' Empirical Research on the determinants of internal control effectiveness in Public organisations in Ghana' He has an MBA in Finance from Cardiff Metropolitan University, UK (2015), a Higher National Diploma in Accounting, and a Diploma in Business Studies from Accra Technical University, in 2009 and 2005, respectively. His research interests are corporate governance, public administration and policy, CSR, knowledge management, and internal control. He has authored several academic papers and book chapters. He is currently working on several research projects such ; Internal audit independence , Healtcare innovation using technology acceptance model, Green hydrogen adoption in Africa, Green procurement adoption among public organisations, Transforming the hospitality indudtry through AI and lastly Women empowerment through Poverty reduction using financial inclusion across west Africa. Dr. Lartey is a member of the editorial board of Frontiers in Management and Business and has performed peer review for several reputable publishers, including the international journals Healthcare Management and the International Journal of Public Administration (Taylor & Francis). The rest are the Journal of Entrepreneurship and Public Policy, the International Journal of Business and Management, and the Asian Journal of Economics, Business, and Accounting, among others. He has certificates in Introduction to Peer Review, Reviewing in the Humanities, Good Citation Behaviour, and An Introduction to Ethical Publishing Behavior from the Web of Science Academy
