Andrzej Chmielewski
Prof. Andrzej G. Chmielewski, Ph.D., D.Sc., is a director of the Institute of Nuclear Chemistry and Technology, Warsaw, Poland and a professor at the Department of Chemical and Process Engineering, Warsaw University of Technology. In the years of 1976/77 he was employed by the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, USA and in 2003/05 by IAEA, Vienna, Austria, then lectured at the universities in Sao Paulo, Brazil; Hefei, China and Pavia, Italy. As an UN expert undertook missions to over thirty countries all over the world. He is a member of Academy of Engineering and in the year 1999 was nominated a “Gold Engineer of the Year” by the Polish Federation of Engineering Associations and is laurate of \Liftime Award for Science\ granted by International Irradiator Association at 17 IMRP in Shanghai, China.. He is an author of more than 150 publications and books, and over 60 international patents, some of this inventions were the bases for construction of the big installations for air and water pollution control built in industry. 13 Ph.D. and over 70 M. Sc. & B.Sc. theses were carried out under his supervision.
