Nikolai Petrovsky
Nikolai Petrovsky is the Director of Endocrinology at Flinders Medical Centre and Professor of Medicine at Flinders University. He completed Endocrine training at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and a PhD on autoimmune diabetes at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of the University of Melbourne. He has been an investigator for major international diabetes studies including ADVANCE, FIELD, and DREAM. He is a past councilor of the Australian Diabetes Society and has authored over 200 scientific papers, chapters and abstracts. He is engaged in both diabetes and vaccine research and made a major breakthrough last year in developing the world’s first effective swine flu vaccine.
