Prof. Rizwan Ahmad is working as Faculty and Research Coordinator in the College of Medicine, Imam Abdulrahaman bin Faisal University. He has worked as Professor and Vice-Principal at Uttaranchal (PG) College of Biomedical Sciences and Hospital, Dehradun, India. He has established the School of Life and Allied Health Sciences and School of Pharmacy as its Founding Head at Glocal University, India in 2014. Dr. Ahmad worked as Associate Professor of Biochemistry in the Department of Human Function at Oman Medical College (OMC) in partnership with West Virginia University, USA from 2010 to 2013. He had been a member of the Quality Assurance Committee and academic advisor to MD 4th year students during his stay at OMC. He worked as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biochemistry, SBS Post Graduate Institute, Dehradun, India from 2004-2010. He received his M.Phil. and Ph.D. in Biochemistry, from Faculty of Medicine, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, India. He has guided one Ph.D., 34 PG, and 3 UG dissertations. He has published several research papers in peer-reviewed international journals. The focus of his research has been on Free Radical Biochemistry and nucleic acid modification and their role in Autoimmune Disorders. He has presented over 50 papers in various National and International Conferences. He has edited three books, published by In-Tech Publishers and 3 chapters related to Autoimmunity. He has been appointed a reviewer in many international journals. Dr. Ahmad has delivered many lectures on Autoimmunity and also chaired scientific sessions at various conferences. He is also a member of various national and international scientific bodies.
