Ainhoa Cárcar was born in Pamplona, Spain, on August 20, 1976. She received the M.Sc. degree in electronics and control engineering and the M.S. degree in renewable energies from the Public University of Navarra, Pamplona, in 2003 and 2004, respectively.She joined Ingeteam Power Technology, Zamudio, Spain, in 2002, where she works as a R&D Engineer in the wind energy department. As a Product Manager, her research works are mainly focused on power converter hardware and software development, modeling and control of wind turbines, and grid integration. Since January 2005, she has collaborated as a lecturer in hardware and control systems in wind turbines at CENIFER. She has participated in research projects in collaboration with universities and companies and has published some papers and patents related to wind turbine control and low voltage ride through systems and control strategies.
