I lived the last 44 years of my life in the UK having studied my 'O' and 'A' levels in Kings School Canterbury, followed by medical School at the Prestigious Saint Bartholomews' Hospital, which is part of the University of London. I became a Doctor in 1987 and obtained my general FRCS (Ed) in early 1992. I passed my Part 3 FRCS (Plast) exam, which is the speciality exam in early 2002. I was granted FRCS (Eng) Ad Eundem in October 2010. I am a Consultant Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon with 30 years experience in the field of which the last 20 years as a consultant. As a consultant, the first 12 years of my career were in the National Health Service, however, for the last 8 years I have practiced solely in private practice. I have participated in Charity Missions with LEAP Global Missions and treated adults and children injured in the Syrian war. My main interests currently include aesthetic surgical and non-surgical treatments. When indicated I combine the two approaches; thus formulating the hybrid treatment to achieve best cosmetic results. I practice privately in hospital and in my own clinic (The Clinic @51) in the vibrant city of Liverpool in the Northwest of England. I have built my practice on a patient centred philosophy, based on the principle of safety first safety always. I always maintain an ethical approach to patients' care. I enjoy writing medical literature and have extensively published, and presented in the field. I am a member of BAAPS, BAPRAS, ISAPS, RSM, BMA, and both the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh and England. My website is www.alijuma.co.uk and my instagram page is alijuma_plasticsurgeon
