Ozan Kara

DeltaV Space Technologies

Dr. Kara is working as an R&D engineer in DeltaV Space Technologies Inc., Istanbul, Turkey. His expertise is in the development of hybrid rocket technologies. Internal ballistics development and combustion of paraffin-based motors are his major roles in the company. He is also working on Metal/CO2 combustion for Mars Ascent Vehicles. In addition, he performed various researches in the space community such as CubeSat Communication, small satellite Moon mission design, and virulence alteration of bacteria aboard the ISS. Dr. Kara is a member of several technical committees such as the International Astronautical Federation and the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics. Space propulsion, systems engineering, knowledge management, and space outreach are among the topics discussed within these committees. He was the Middle East Regional Coordinator at the Space Generation Advisory Council between 2018 – 2020. He is teaching rocket propulsion at MEF and Yeditepe Universities in Istanbul, Turkey.
