Janmejoy Gupta

Myself, Dr Janmejoy Gupta, am presently working as an Associate Professor, and at presently Head of Department, Dept. of Architecture, (Level 13, A2) School of Planning and Architecture, Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh (An Institution of National Importance, Under Ministry of Human Resource Development, (MHRD) Govt. of India).(Since 12 November 2018-till date).I am an Architect, with Masters in Urban Planning and PhD in Architectural Design for Thermal-Comfort. I have a total experience of 15 years plus – August 2005 till date- (9 year and continuing in teaching and 6 years before teaching in the industrial sector.) I have worked on a wide gamut of Architectural and Urban Planning jobs with emphasis on Green buildings, design of buildings using passive design strategies buildings and building/environment sustainability-related issues during my industrial tenure. Since September 2011 I have shifted to Teaching & Research, 9 years, as on date, and continuing.Climate-Responsive Architectural Design and Passive Design Strategies, Energy-Efficient Buildings,Sustainable Urban Planning and Sustainable Urban-forms, Building Performance Simulation and Bio-phillic Architecture are my core research areas. I have researched, worked and guided my students successfully in competitions themed on Vernacular Architecture, Climate-Responsive Architecture in built environment to create built architecture in harmony with the environment.
