Dr. Vishal Kesari (M. Sc. (Physics) and Ph. D. (Electronics Engineering)) served as Lecturer at Birla Institute of Technology, Ranchi, India and Indian Institute of Information Technology, Allahabad, India before joining as Scientist at Microwave Tube Research and Development Centre, Bengaluru, India. His research interests include microwave and millimeter-wave vacuum electronic devices. He has authored three books: (i) Analysis of Disc-loaded Circular Waveguides for Wideband Gyro-TWTs (Lambert Academic Publishing AG & Co., Germany, 2009), (ii) High Power Microwave Tubes: Basics and Trends (IOP Concise Physics; Morgan & Claypool Publishers, San Rafel, California, 2018, and (iii) Microwave and Millimetre-wave Vacuum Electron Devices and Related Facts, DRDO Special Publication Series, Defence Scientific Information and Documentation Centre, New Delhi, India, 2018 (in Press) and numerous research papers in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings. He has to his credit a number of international and departmental level awards. He has acted as reviewer for various peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings. He has been recognized as Golden Reviewer of IEEE Electron Device Letters for the years 2014, 2015 and 2018, and of IEEE Transactions on Electron Devices for the years 2014-2018. He is Fellow of Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE), India and Life Member of Vacuum Electronic Devices and Applications Society (VEDAS), India.
