Hamed Majdooa Algarni

Prof. Hamed Majdooa Algarni is the Vice president of King Khalid University for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research. He received his MSc in physics in 2007 from KKU, Saudi Arabia, and earned his Ph.D. in 2014 from the University of York, the United Kingdom. Prof. Algarni received the Kathleen Mary Stott Prize for excellence in scientific research for the best Ph.D. in 2013 from the University of York, UK. He received an academic distinction award (three times) from the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia, Cultural Bureau, London. He specializes in condensed matter physics, nano-science, and nanotechnology, which includes growth, properties, and applications of nanostructured and biomaterials and optoelectronic devices. He has authored and co-authored more than 250 research articles in highly reputed journals.
