Claudia Manuela da Cunha Ferreira Botelho

CM Botelho has a PhD in Science Engineering from Porto University. Most of her PhD research was carried out at Queen Mary London University; Cambridge University, UK and NAIST, Japan. Her work on the modulation of calcium phosphate ceramics aiming to develop custom-made ceramic prostheses for reconstructive surgery, resulted in a worldwide patent. She published several scientific papers and was invited to give several talks. CM Botelho was invited to be lecturer at Minho Univ. Her work was distinguished with several international prizes, like the European Award on Biomaterials and Tissue Engineering Doctoral Award. In 2015 she was elected President of the National Researcher Association of Science and Technology and since then she has actively worked on the development of scientific policies. For the past years, she focused on nanocarriers.
